I remember the first time i heard the word, i was only about 10 years old, & someone who seemed like a nice enough person was announced as disfellowshipped. I remember asking my mum about it after the meaning & being shocked by her explanation, even at that age it seemed wrong to me.

Is the Gospel of Matthew a clever fake ?
by wobble inthe answer to the above question hinges on when the gospel was actually written.
many scholars feel it was written some time after the destruction of the temple in 70 c.e.
if this is so, it is a clever fake, pretending to have been written earlier by an eye-witness to the events, or someone close to an eye-witness.

Yeah, & evolutionists all want to prove that Adam & Eve never existed right? And of course, christian apologists have no agenda, they don't want to prove the bible right, they'll just follow the evidence unbiasedly to wherever it takes them! Am i right?
You are a waste of a brain.
P.S. Oh & what the hell has the validity of the bible got to do with abiogenesis? Why do apologists always go off on such stupid unrelated dumbass god of the gaps tangents. They can never stay on topic can they, to them the path from abiogenesis to some jewish carpenter in the bronze age middle east is just a couple of steps.

Yeah, all of the gospels were probably written in the late 1st century, to believe they were written earlier requires a pro-christian agenda.

JW Pioneer That Has Baptized Over 100 People!
by mentallyfree31 inthere is a sister in my former kh that has helped over 100 people to baptism.
she is a genuinely nice person, and a very low key person.
she is pretty much fairly quiet and keeps to herself.

I suppose it's the same kind of guilty feeling one might get after realising they've given someone HIV.

Are they deliberately trying to get rid of the "Old TImers"? (re "generation")
by hamsterbait inthe vast majority have been sucked into the witchtower babble and trash cult over the last 25 years.. this constant rehashing and contradicting of the "generation " teaching is bound to drive significant numbers of the pre 1985 -"ish" witlesses away from the kingdumb hells, much as "1925" drove away vast numbers who might yet undermine "jug" rutherfords efforts to secure his power.. they will then be able to make major revisions of what to us older ones seem like core doctrines, which will be lapped up like iced cream by those who only have the perspective of the 21 century litterature.. this is too obviously deliberate.
its not like some tiny side comment:.
when the gibbering buddy wants some embarrassing thing to go away, blondie has pointed out many examples, they stop talking about it.. with this change they are rubbing peoples noses in it, slapping them round the head so they dont miss it.. and who are "gasping" at the co talks?

Did any of you idiots read snowbird's post about breaking someones head with a rod of iron?
And don't give me that Isaac Newton cum. He lived in unenlightened times. Yes, even the most intelligent people were wrong about the God thing until 150 years ago, but now that we are a more enlightened species, the proportion has changed. More knowledge = less room for God & the kind of stupidity that makes you want to see Jesus smash people over the head with iron, simple as that.
Oh & if you don't like my words, & you're in a position of authority on this board, then by all means, shut down my account. Censoring is what you religious wackos do best when faced with facts you don't like.
